Vegas Baby!!

Yesterday I got back my from my amazing Vacation to Las Vegas, and I think I am in love! It was such a fun place to be with endless things to do and see. 

My favorite thing to do was just walk the strip and see the different hotels and I had way more fun playing the slots than I thought I would! That could have something to do with the fact that I won $1003 on the first night!! I was walking around the casino in our hotel, New York, New York, with Emily, Brady and Elliot looking for four slots open next to each other. Well we found four and right away I saw a machine called 'lucky winner' and I said that was my machine I was going to win big on. Let's be honest though, my idea of big was like $20 so I was pretty jazzed when I won a grand!

Thursday Night Boredom

Hola again friends,

So it is 11:45 on Thursday and I am bored, so here I am! This week has been pretty uneventful. I have been working every day and then doing nothing... but I must say it is relaxing and so much better than classes :) I have also started reading a new book, Something Borrowed, and loving it! My roommates and I have been going to movies on Tuesday nights because they are $5 and after seeing the movie I had to read the book. I must admit it makes me feel better to read a book than watch TV all the time!

I am getting super excited for Vegas! I leave in one week from today, and I can barely wait! I am in need of a vacation.. it is time for Ames and I to take a little break from each other. I am also excited to go home this weekend. I miss my family and I think I need a change of scenery for a few days. While I am home I also get to meet my student teaching cooperating teacher, which I am very excited for! I am also taking my gorgeous goddaughter (see picture on the right) to Build-a-Bear for her 6th birthday. I feel so bad because I will be in Vegas during her party, but she has forgiven me because she is excited for a day together and to get/make a new toy!

DONE!....... again.

I know I told you all I was done before, but now I am really done! Today was my dance show and I am now done with dance for the summer! The girls were absolutely amazing.. the show was 14 dances long and there wasn't a bad one through the whole show. This year of dance has taught me so much and I have had the chance to work with some really great, great girls and wonderful parents. 

I think that dance also taught me a lot for someday when I have my own classroom. I have learned a lot about parent communication, and in many ways how to use classroom management, although it will be much different in a school classroom then a dance room. It is hard to believe that the year is over and that I successfully ran a dance studio all on my own this year. I feel so grown up :) (Although I couldn't have done it without a little help from my mom and Taylor and those who came to help at my shows!)

That's all for now... but before I go I must wish my mom the happiest birthday! Yesterday was her birthday and Friday the 13th, but she survived and had a great day. I was sad I couldn't see her yesterday but was so glad she could come to my show today so I could give her a birthday hug! :) Thanks for all you do, mom!!

DONE!

Well it is finally official.. I am done with undergrad classes! I still don't think it has hit me though. It has been an amazing four years and it is finally coming to an end. I think the reason it hasn't hit is because I am not actually graduating. In the fall I will student teach, but that is going to be nothing like school, it will be more like having a real job (minus getting paid).

I am really excited for the summer now! This is the first summer in three years that I haven't had to take classes and it is also the first summer that I won't be living in Ames the whole summer. I am excited for the classes but not being in Ames the whole summer is very bitter-sweet. I am really excited to move home and be closer to my family, especially my cousins and Nora, and all of my friends (and their kids) but I am really sad to be leaving my friends in Ames. I have made some of the most amazing friends, I had no idea coming to Ames that I would meet such great people and I will miss them dearly! I am also supper sad to be leaving my job of almost 3 years at Bath and Body Works, where I have met most of my amazing friends!

Okay, I am done being sappy! I am ready for my amazing summer to begin. It is kicking off with working a bunch then heading home to see my amazing momma for Mother's Day!

It's Been a While!

Well, I guess I don't have much to blog about right now, in fact I haven't had much to blog about for the past two weeks so I am sorry if this comes off as rambling (I can be very good at that!) :)

Since my last update I have been super busy working, a lot! I have been more than glad to pick up extra hours at work, I have been trying to save up for Vegas which is only 23 days away now! The weather is supposed to be in the 90's so I am really looking forward to that, especially since last month was the coldest April EVER. While I am super excited for Vegas, I am even more excited for my best friend to come home! Megan has been gone since January and that is too long. She comes back on the 13 (also my momma's birthday) and I just can't wait anymore.

This week is officially my last finals weeks as an undergrad, yay! To make things even better I only had one final and it was a take home final. It has been super easy and I am just about done with it. On Thursday morning we are turning in our finals and having a potluck. Doesn't sound so bad except it is at 8:00 am. Not really sure how I feel about such an early potluck!

Well that about sums it up for this week. Next week is my last night of dance classes as well as my recital so I am sure I will have a fun post coming up!
